Welcome to this page where I share my commitment to the Yes2023 Camapign. This commitment does not stand alone but is part of my “YES” to the values, passions and beliefs that inform my political and social decision making.
My voice is a public commitment to the Yes Campaign
My voice is one but our voices are many.
My voice is part of a chorus for justice, recognition and history.
My voice will not sit in silence nor live with fear.
My voice will tell truth and lament the loss of culture.
My voice will acknowledge First Nations presence and wisdom.
My voice is old but it will not weary.
It’s time to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution through a Voice.
Let’s get this done!

What a simple proposition.
Aboriginal & Torres Strait Island people were here first ✅
Their voice should be heard when Govt’s make laws & policies about them ✅
The Govt must set up a democratically representative institution to facilitate that voice through the usual parliamentary processes ✅
Govt’s can’t just abolish the voice like they have in the past when they don’t like what it’s got to say ✅
Much less complicated than nearly every other part of the Constitution.

NATSICC is the peak advisory body to the Australian Catholic Bishops. Established in 1992, the council has been a voice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholics for over 30 years. In that time NATSICC has supported and empowered our First Nations communities to bring together their culture and faith as well as educate the wider Catholic Church on the gifts that Australia’s First Peoples bring to the Church.
We acknowledge that the Indigenous Voice represents a significant stride towards empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in addressing the deep-seated inequities prevalent in numerous social, economic and health indicators. By working in tandem with truth-telling, a robust First Nations Voice will serve as the bedrock for the journey towards reconciliation. This journey may encompass treaties, sovereignty, and various opportunities that the First Nations Voice can explore and advocate for.
