Politics, Religion and Sport This Weekend in Brisbane

I have  been publishing a community calendar across my social media platforms for the last few years. It is not unusual to find several events scheduled at the same time.  However I think this weekend of May 27-31 is exceptional in bringing religion, politics and sport to Brisbane.

The Italian, East Timorese West Papuan and African communities are all offering festivals.  The Catholics are parading through the city and politicians on the campaign trail are debating issues. The weekend launches National Reconciliation Week and the AFL will celebrate the Indigenous Round dedicated to Sir Doug Nicholls.

So visit the Calendar of Events and look out for me with my camera this weekend!!
